![]() We’d probably adopt a cat or two if there were more squirrels. Places without natural predators present a more difficult situation, I’m sure. The Squirrel Catapult Posted on Februby Foxworld I used to think squirrels were cute. Our various raptors apparently keep their numbers in check. Let me hasten to add, though, that we don’t have much of a squirrel population here. The varmints don’t need to steal fruit from people to survive. Neighbors who care about their gardens do what we do neighbors who don’t, don’t. I don’t think that we’re exporting our problem onto our neighbors the presence of people is the real problem. There are plenty of other places for them to go around here, both settled and wild. This has effectively solved the problem for us, without anyone having to kill the varmints. Ten years later: no varmints whatsoever molest our trees, if you don’t count the gophers. When we started an orchard and ornamental garden, we put up a six-foot perimeter fence to give our two rescue dogs (who have a dog door) free access to the whole place. We live in an area next to a national park, and we have a large and varied population of varmints here - deer, raccoons, opossums, foxes, coyotes, badgers, etc. I have to say that my experience differs on this. They also learned that adventures and the magic of the outdoors can sometimes be the best way to solve our problems. If you can do the dog/cat thing, great! That is not a solution to the problem, unless they kill the varmint. But this time, they did it together, and with the magic of teamwork, they finally won.įrom that day onwards, Mimi, Benji, and Gaga knew that they could accomplish anything if they worked together. As they made their way back, they realized that they had worked together and accomplished something special that day, just like how they worked together to build their Minecraft world.Īnd when they got home, they decided to work together again to beat Minecraft. When the sun started to set, they knew it was time to head home. They were having so much fun that they lost track of time. The squirrels helped them build their own catapult, and they all worked together to launch the acorns across the forest. Mimi, Benji, and Gaga were amazed, and they wanted to try it too. The squirrels placed an acorn in the catapult and launched it into the air, sending it sailing across the forest. So, they offered to show them how it all worked. Mimi and her friends were naturally curious, and the squirrels could see that. "We are building a giant catapult to shoot the acorns across the forest," replied the squirrels. "What are you all doing up here?," asked Mimi. There they found three little squirrels, busily working together to build something. But as soon as they began to climb, they heard a strange noise coming from deep within the tree.Īs they climbed higher and higher, the noise grew louder until they finally reached the top. Mimi and her friends were amazed by the tree and decided they wanted to climb up and explore. These whimsical wordplays capture the spirit of these agile, bushy-tailed creatures and their love for life’s little treasures. The tree had branches that curled up like spider's legs, and its leaves sparkled in the sunlight. It was unlike any tree they had ever seen before. ![]() ![]() While they were walking through the woods, they stumbled upon a weird and wild looking tree. And so, one day, in frustration, they decided to take a break and go on an adventure in the woods. ![]() However, no matter how hard they tried, they could not seem to finally beat the game. They also traveled to different realms and battled fierce creatures, all with the hopes of defeating Minecraft. They built houses, castles, and even a village where they could trade with villagers. They spent hours every day building their Minecraft world. Being dedicated gamers, they decided to work together to beat Minecraft. One day, while Mimi was playing with her friends Benji and Gaga, they decided to play a game together. She wore a pretty purple shirt and pink shorts that she loved to play and run around in. She enjoyed spending her days outside in the sunshine, with her brown tanned arms basking in the warmth. Mimi was a wonderful little girl with a big smile, pretty eyes, and striking gray hair that flowed all the way down her back. ![]()
